After an awful lot of travelling a pleasure to spend a little time in Rye in South East England.
Much used for period filming it has some great buildings and cobbled streets.
Paulette and I particularly enjoyed this recent restoration job!
And how handy to have a choice of front doors.
What I hadn’t expected was the philosophically challenging proposition I found in one shop window on a tin tray. Ponder this:
“A garden with no chickens is like a film with no actors”. Makes you think doesn’t it? Hum…
Centuries ago Rye was a seaport but the sea moved away. However, if you feel the pull of the sea as I do it’s not that far away. Just head for Winchelsea Beach. On the way, on a good day, you’ll notice beautiful and very distinctive sky scapes.
Put these with the ocean and you have something quite magical:
Now that’s what I call a day out!
