As many of you will know, on Saturday ITS held a Celebration and Fundraising day with the theme ‘Living Generously’. The day was in aid of two charities that Clare will be running the London Marathon for this year; Cancer Research UK and Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust.

We turned up at the venue early to set everything up, including the vast array of cakes that had been so lovingly prepared! As the clock hit 10am the room had a wonderful buzz as it was filled with familiar faces as well as people who had joined us just for this event. It was a lovely mix of old and new.

Ian and Adrian kicked off proceedings in the morning with a discussion on how to live more generously. A number of demonstrations with the audience, including Neil, our unsuspecting Project Manager and Ian’s Wife, Paulette were brilliant to watch.

Break time came around quickly and I’m pleased to say that the cakes were a huge hit – Can you tell I had a part to play in the baking side of things? People were so generous with their donations. As well as the baked goods we had a lucky dip which also went down a treat.

The afternoon brought a slightly more relaxed feel with a wine tasting session. Not something that usually comes with an ITS seminar but it brought something different and novel to the day.

After all our hard work, planning and organising, the day was a huge success and just with the cakes and lucky dip alone we raised £198 for two brilliant charities!  Thank you all so much for your generosity and support on the day.

A wonderful day with wonderful people.
